Even 40 years on, that standard of leadership and participation in the Brisbane business and insurance community remains today. Day to day, TBIB works with local business organisations and interest groups, charities and not-for-profits, industry peak bodies and a myriad of local businesses right through to the Queensland Council of Insurance Brokers. TBIB maintains a close commitment to local business and the insurance community.

Today TBIB is driven by a broad team of competent, qualified and motivated people, supported by state of the art systems. This means that we have everything necessary to attend to our clients needs, cover, claims and security – whether they be an individual or a corporation.

We actively engage with cutting edge training, systems, insurers and facilities that enable us move with a marketplace that is racing towards the future. At the same time, we provide the best care available to clients who have been with us for decades.

Founded in 1979 by Tony Bemrose (whose general insurance career began in 1958), Tony Bemrose Insurance Brokers (TBIB) in Brisbanes, Fortitude Valley quickly developed a reputation for looking after all clients with care, tenacity and ability to place the hardest of insurance risks.

Over the course of the next forty years TBIB has developed into a very well respected business oriented insurance brokerage.

Our Values

We place the highest value on expertise, service and advice to all of our clients. It’s our highest priority and our clients share this value with us – especially those clients who have had to claim on their insurance.

Many of our clients run businesses, and even if they don’t, getting the right price is extremely important. We will always strive to get our clients the best price possible for the cover – but if a client has to pay a bit more than they were expecting, they will know exactly why.

We will never put a quick sale before doing the right thing and we will always, ALWAYS, be there for our clients when they need us.

Due to the diverse nature of our business, we have a unique and often challenging set of insurance requirements, and yet no matter what we throw at TBIB they are always able to find us a policy that fits our requirements and doesn’t break the budget.

Current policies that TBIB have helped us implement include public liability insurance for our various charter activities, physical and liability insurance for boats, offices and storage sheds and business insurance for charter sales and worldwide tackle distribution.
